John Macdonald wins zMax
NMRA-zMAx Dragway
August 2010
Super Street Outlaw sensation John Macdonald piloted his TBCRC built chassis to another win at zMax Dragway during the NMRA/NMCA All Star Nationals. Johnny Mac has won this event two years in a row and crew chief Kim Mapes had the Motorcity Motorsports ProCharged-blown terror dialed in all weekend. The team has a strong points lead heading into the next race and is making a charge for the championship. Catch Johnny Mac and the TBCRC crew out at the next event in Columbus, Ohio Labor Day weekend.
TBCRC/Morris Racing
The joint venture of TBC Race Cars and Morris Racing's Pro Mod is one of the latest creations out of the shop. The program is still under development with just a hand full of runs to date, but during the heat of the summer we have clicked off a few 4.60's _ 155 MPH with a 103 60 ft. on 1 stage of Nitrous. The 565 cubic inch powerplant will continue to serve as a testbed for the remainder of the year as we finish prepping our "New" motor for installation over the Winter.

RACEPAGES Magazine Cover
August 2010 Vol. 12 Issue 8
Once again a TBCRC built vehicle makes the cover of RACEPAGES magazine. TBCRC originally built this Pro Outlaw 10.5 Mustang for Mike King back in the day, but has since been sold. The new owner, Jim Brown campaigns the car on the NMRA circuit and we wish him continued success. This was one of our favorite builds and more pictures can be seen in our gallery.
NMRA-Columbus, Ohio
The 32nd Annual NMRA Ford Expo, scheduled for September 3-5 at National Trail Raceway is always one of the most exciting stops on the tour. The second-to-last race, the points battles are almost at critical mass, which means the racers will have the wick turned up giving the track all it can take, and then some. And in addition to our usual racers, there will also be the chance to watch some vintage Blue Oval cars make its way down the track in the Y-block shootout and special vintage bracket classes. For the fans of both old and new, this is the NMRA event of the year.
SFI Updates
TBC Race Cars can update most roll cages to current SFI chassis specifications and help you save money. Call us today to discuss your needs.

Pro Outlaw 10.5
TBC Race Cars operates in a 6,500 sq. ft. shop near the Historic District in Downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina. The building was originally built in the late 1940's and has been home to several different car dealerships over the decades. Our facilities inclue an in-house Paint & Body Shop, along with all necessary chassis jigs and fabrication equipment required to perform updates and repairs or build complete turn key race cars.
Passion
Looking back as a kid, I had one thing on my mind: BMX! When I as 15 years old I had a bad half-pipe experience and broke my neck. Not wanting to chance fate anymore, I gave up the BMX craze.
Turning 16 and having a '72 Chevelle, I fixed it up and tore up the streets. I went through all kinds of cars and learned a lot about style and stance. Over the years I developed my skills in welding and sheet metal fabrication, and decided to open my own shop which is where this journey begins. It has taken years to get to the heights the shop enjoys today, and it's all been due to hard work and determination! I have never wanted to settle for second best, and from the work that has come out of the shop, you can tell that quality has always been the priority!

"My TBC 25.2 purpose built NMRA Super Steet Outlaw Mustang has gone a 1.18 60 foot and 4.79 1/8 mile on a true 10.5" tire at 3200 pounds. Tim's craftmanship has really paid off and is evident on how well the car reacts to any changes we make. Tim has alson shown excellent support on the phone and at the race track to answer any questions that have come up. I would hightly recommend anyone to have their chassis built at TBC."
