Tim has been known locally, for the past eighteen years for his outstanding custom exhaust. As of fifteen years ago he started installing roll cages, and after not agreeing with a factory design, began fabricating his own. The rest has become history.
Tim started in a 2000 square-foot garage with nothing more than a mig welder and basic hand tools. In Nov. 2002 he moved into a 7500 square-foot shop on Cumberland Rd where his abilities and equipment really started to grow. Eventually after years of searching for the right building he found an old brick building on E. Russell St. that called out to him. It was built back in 1948 and has a real nostalgic feel to it, so in July 2008 he moved into the 6700 square foot facility. Tim and his crew now operate out of this shop right in the middle of downtown Fayetteville with machining and fabrication equipment for nearly any idea he can come up with.
Tim is well known for building SFI Specification 25.2 certified drag racing chassis, that normally run 7.50's and quicker in the quarter mile. But this is not the only type of drag car that he can build...In fact this is not the only kind of "ROD" Tim and his crew can fabricate!!! The possibilities are endless! After numerous requests Tim has now concentrated his efforts into the street scene. TBC is now building Hot Rods and Custom Bikes. We are also known for building body dropped trucks, custom frames and tube chassis and we are very knowledgeable of air ride suspension, sheet metal fabrication and even lead work. TBC's work has been seen in four national publications (5.0 Mustang, Sport Truck, Mini Truckin, and the Race Pages of the NMRA), our fabrication and welding skills speak for themselves. An inspection of any car that TBC has built will convince you of their talents, and absolute requirement of quality and safety. Their reputation has brought vehicles from several different states to either be updated, rebuilt, or completely built from the ground up. Together with his wife Jennifer, Troy Russell, Adam Oldham, Eric Powers and Steve Sherman, several cars are currently in production for the 2009/2010 season. Check out current projects, or come by the shop to see them in person! A picture is worth a thousand words, but seeing the product in person is completely convincing.
By request, TBC is now building even more Hot Rods, Custom Trucks and Motorcycles and we will have some of our work displayed at the shop and at several car shows and events!!!
